IXC Softswitch is a carrier-grade prepaid/postpaid routing and billing solution with a user friendly GUI web interface that meets all key requirements of the current VoIP market.

The system empowers service providers with all necessary tools to successfully render a wide variety of VoIP services.

IXC Softswitch is a complex VoIP system that consists of two elements which are Softswitch and Billing.
Softswitch is responsible for a number of functions such as authorization, authentication, calls proxy, protocols and codecs conversion, smoothing of carrier protocol dialects, gatekeepers support and others.

One of the main advantages of the system architecture is that all IXC Softswitch elements can be located at one server.

Possible configurations:
1) Standalone server (all-in-one solution)
2) Softswitch+ IXC Media Convertor (media proxy and recode module located on the separate server)
3) High availability cluster support (Failover Cluster)
